SALLYANNE MASSIMINI

SALLYANNE (SAL) MASSIMINI, DGA was born in Bridgeport, CT.  A fine arts major at the Maryland Institute College of Art, she moved to Los Angeles and became a visual effects artist and supervisor, accruing credits and several awards, including two Emmy nominations. Credits include: True Blood, Banshee, Fringe, Hemlock Grove, Fast and Furious, Once Upon A Time, Prada. Sal transitioned into directing 2nd unit for the shows Greenleaf, Imaginary Mary and Step Up. A short film that she directed, Niles Canyon, received an Audience Award at the California Women’s Film Festival. She spent the last year developing  her own scripts and directing commercials; AUCTIV was selected for the 2018 SHOOT Annual 16th New Director’s showcase. Sal just released another short filmed on RED’s new Hydrogen phone, N.I., starring Giorgia Whigham (13 Reason’s Why, The Punisher).

Sal is currently the 2nd Unit Director and Producer for season three of the television show American Gods (Starz).
